Workshops, Courses & Retreats

I offer courses, workshops, and occasional retreats that explore creativity, embodiment, care, and ethical ways of living and working.

These offerings shift over time. Some are open to the public, some are for practitioners or learning communities, and some are created in collaboration with others. What they share is an emphasis on process, curiosity, and learning that is grounded in body, land, and relationship.

These spaces invite time to think, feel, notice, and reconnect with what feels meaningful and alive.

Areas of Focus

Depending on the context, offerings may explore:

+ Creative and expressive process

+ Embodied and somatic inquiry

+ Reflective practice and supervision themes

+ Ethics, care, and sustainability in relational work

+ Writing, poetry, and creative thinking

+ Place, land, and ecological attention

+ Working with complexity, transition, and change

Some offerings lean more personal, some more professional. Many sit somewhere in between.

Current and Upcoming Workshops, Courses & Retreats

Heat & Discipline

An 8-week online writing course with Rātā Gordon
Starts 10 June 2026

What forms of practice help us keep returning to the work?

Heat and Discipline is an 8-week online writing course exploring creativity, desire, resistance, ritual, and sustainable creative practice.

Together we will work with writing prompts, reflective exercises, discussion, and generative practices designed to help participants build a deeper relationship with their creative lives, not through rigid productivity, but through attention, experimentation, and return.

This course is for writers, artists, and creatively-inclined humans wanting:

  • renewed connection to their creative practice

  • structure without harshness

  • creative community and accountability

  • space for uncertainty, experimentation, and unfinishedness

  • forms of discipline that feel alive rather than extractive

Small cohort. Weekly group sessions.
One 1:1 mentoring session.
Wednesdays 7pm-9pm (NZT).

Workshops & Professional Development

I am available for bespoke workshops and professional development for organisations, teams, and learning communities.

This work may include reflective practice, creative inquiry, ethics and care in complex roles, embodied approaches to sustainability, or supporting teams to think differently about how they work together.

At present, I offer this work in limited ways and often in collaboration with others. If you are interested in exploring whether a workshop or series might be a good fit, you are welcome to get in touch for a conversation.

Working Together

Some offerings are developed in collaboration with other practitioners, educators, or organisations. I’m especially interested in work that is relational, ethical, and grounded in lived experience.

If you are curious about co-creating a course, workshop, or gathering, I’m open to hearing from you.

The best way to stay connected to upcoming courses, workshops, and gatherings is through my writing.
