Dear one,

Do you have a secret?

Do you suspect that maybe, possibly, just quietly, you are *whispers behind hand* a poet?

OK, OK, let’s take a step back. Maybe you would never actually call yourself that in public. 

Maybe you haven’t written anything except emails and shopping lists in a really long time.

Maybe you have never even written a poem. Or maybe you have, but it wasn’t a proper poem. Or maybe it was a while ago, and you can’t really remember how it happened. 

Maybe, as someone recently told to me, you “feel so poetic on the inside, but...”

And maybe you would never actually share your writing with anyone else. Or maybe you did share it that one time, but that was super embarrassing so let’s not talk about that.

Maybe the title ‘poet’ feels somewhere between slightly and extraordinarily uncomfortable to you right now.
